Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
As I was a mom with one child on me and others with me in the cradle worked 12 hours a day cleaning floors and tear off wallpaper. Ha! The whole thing was beginning to take shape, however it wasn't quite finished. In order to furnish the house it would be a huge effort with regards to budget and time. Also, I had to go out and shop for my most-loved items. To stay in my budget I took my kids with me to look for gems hidden in estate sales. The weekly ritual was that we would stroll through estate and garage sales on Fridays and Saturdays, purchasing a mix of antique and brand new furniture. My next task was to spend my weekdays painting and sanding on our front lawn. What I saw looked something similar to... This is when my passion to restore furniture started. Even after our house was finished, I didn't want to put it down! There was an area at the local markets that I could sell my items. I could outgrow the area because I had numerous pieces I needed. More than 1000 people came to my home over the course of a weekend to purchase everything that was on the ground. Growing Days was created in this home. The business wasn't just flourishing, but I was also growing my sweet family too. I was finding that balance of having to start a new business while also being a mommy. Growing Days just fit. In 2013, my daughter Nora was our fourth baby. My business was going well but I wanted a rest. I decided to put off building my old furniture for a while and spend time with my children. In the beginning, this was exactly what I needed. It wasn't until a couple of months that the phones started to be ringing. I began receiving requests from people requesting for help in home improvement and interior design. The majority of them had been to my home during open houses for furniture. As I went along I began adding customers to my client list each day. It wasn't too long before I managed several clients, and had an extremely successful business of home renovation. When you first spoke to me about my business in home renovation, I laughed. Even now, when I reflect on the situation I am laughing.
