April Lockhart

April Lockhart (born July 4 April, 1995) began her musical journey in the 7th grade when she took piano and guitar classes. When she was 12 years old, April composed her first single Different. At 14 old, she spent an enormous amount of time developing song ideas and perfecting her music. She started writing songs along with her dad and her dad in NY and LA shortly after. April added other themes to the song "Take My Hand" for a few of her the friends she had who struggled with concerns like peer pressure disabilities, and even teenager suicide. Lockhart also has an ever-growing fan base as a lifestyle blogger and works for popular brand of clean and natural beauty Ilia. The disability she has is part of her personality, but it is not the whole image. Lockhart's Instagram page doesn't overlook the fact that she has a disability. It also doesn't make it a point to emphasize the issue. It's a message. It's important to keep in mind that everyone has numerous faces. Our identities vary and we are much more than our bodies. Lockhart said via video that she does not want to be defined by her disability. She doesn't want to become a disability advocate who only talks about that. There are many aspects to Lockhart. It doesn't impact my daily life. I go about the same way as I always do and have developed my own methods to adjust. Since it's a an integral part of me It's a topic worth talking about. The journey of self-acceptance that Lockhart has taken will be one that lasts a lifetime, but she can be a role model for this purpose. She has had periods where she was uncomfortable wearing certain clothing styles which exposed her arms. She wears what she likes and posts photos of herself dressed in outfits she picks out on social platforms. The self-love she talks about is a journey. It's hard to say when you'll reach the final stage. This is, however, typical for people with doubts. People you associate yourself with that truly understand you, and can see inside your soul are the most important people who can remind you of the things you're concerned about.
