Cheney stated that, when he accepted the Republican nomination to vice-president, he looked forward to working with a president who works across the political aisle in order to accomplish his goals. He will collaborate with opponents with confidence. Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941, the child of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. When Richard Bruce Cheney was 13 years old the family of Richard Bruce Cheney moved from Lincoln Nebraska to Casper Wyoming in the state where his father headed the U.S. Department of Agriculture's regional soil conservation districts.

Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej currently Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born November 12, 1961. She was the first Romanian to score a of 10 at the Olympic competition. Comaneci was discovered by Bela Karolyi who was later her Romanian gymnastics coach at the time she was six years old.
